The Why
The first month of war is behind us and already three million people had to flee their homes. Thousands of people and animals died. Hospitals, airports, schools were destroyed.
The initial response to this humanitarian crisis has been absolutely great. Within hours people have self-organized to provide shelter, food, warm clothes, and legal assistance. A true win of humanity.
However, the need for help will only grow as the fight continues. More refugees will leave Ukraine and the people who already left will need safe homes, jobs, medical care, and their children will need access to education. We worry that when the first wave of emotion subside people will kind of move on and forget.
After the initial wave of help, we need to roll our sleeves and start preparing sustainable support and continuously flowing financial aid.
We created a fundraiser for Polish Humanitarian Action and partnered with several startups that decided to give away their products to anyone who sets a regular donation (and more partnerships are coming). In this way, we want to create an additional source of financing humanitarian aid for Ukraine, which will be able to function for the upcoming weeks, even when the first emotions fade away.
Donations are transferred to the above-mentioned charity in full (after possible deduction of fees of payment operators). Altruisto charges no extra fees - we are a not-for-profit social enterprise.

How does it work?
First, you click the "donate" button and choose the amount you want to donate per week. The minimal donation is $5 (or equivalent in your currency). You will be redirected to a thank you page where you can find a button to claim your free access to premium versions of the apps. You will also receive an email with the link to a claiming page. And, most importantly, thanks to you people in Ukraine will receive food and hygiene products to the inhabitants of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts who are currently at war.
Donations are transferred to the Polish Humanitarian Action in full (after possible deduction of fees of payment operators). Altruisto charges no extra fees - we are a not-for-profit social enterprise.
Who receives the funds?
All of the money from the fundraiser are donated to Polish Humanitarian Action. an organization that provides humanitarian aid in places of conflict since 1992. PAH provides the victims of war with food, hygiene products and other means of help.
The funds are used to supply food and hygiene products to the inhabitants of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts who are currently at war. We also want to provide those who are fleeing their homes with food and other means of help, including the people moving inside the country, and refugees escaping to Poland.
